BAND CAMP~

OLE~ I am posting again.
I shall post about Band Camp coz i have not yet. Oh. That reminds me. I still havent posted about level camp yet. I am so lame.
I shall post about Band Camp first. YAY~
Day one
Well.... we arrived super early. Then, we fell in, in front of the flagpole. Then we had a lecture.
On Ensemble n Balance.
Then our seniors went for whatever aural thingy and we went for full sec 1 band.
at 1G. as usual isaac and seng joe gayed and crapped. how predictable is that.
but then the 1L ppl had to leave in the middle of it coz we got history make up lesson.
And then we had history make up lesson.
And then we came back to band. (note i am not posting abt make up lesson coz I'm supposed to be posting about band camp)
We had SP with seniors at 1K. I AM SO LOUSY LAH.
ok. we learnt the first few bars of Rockin Rondeau (YES it's ROCKIN rondeau. I recall saying ROCKY rondeau in an earlier post). Then our seniors released us early... at 12 30. YAY!
But that didnt help at all. coz we had to leave at 12 45 anyway, waiting for friends mah.
BUT. But. but. I still left for home alone. COZ i wasnt eating lunch at ghim moh. How sad.
Day two
ANOTHER LECTURE~
Yups. Then we went for SP at.... 1I. i think. not really clear. wait yah. 1I. We were supposed to go 1K but hey. it was locked.
so we went for aircon!
ok... isaac kept "da jia stop"-ing to give us "orders", and tell us to watch him turn off the air-con when we were leaving.
we practiced trumpet voluntary, scales, and the little bit of rockin rondeau we learnt.
then Mr. Tan came in. for a while. asked if we were slackin. (YES WE WERE) then he left.
after a while, we went to combine with tuba and eupho at 1G. turns out we werent supposed to be there.
aw. mr tan came back and asked us to go 1L for full sec 1 band.
Yes. i was happy he was using our classroom, but... FULL SEC ONE BAND. it's way too big.
We played lots of scales. And then trumpet voluntary (noticed that everyone was ignoring rockin rondeau).
the percussions wanted to use band room, and when mr ng came in to check on us (according to mr tan it was coz we were so lousy), he told us we COULD use the band room.
SO THE SEC ONES USED THE BAND ROOM~ yay.
for the first time. as a full band. YAY.
we played somemore. and of course ignored rockin rondeau. lol.
then... like day one, i left for home alone. i AM SO SAD ABOUT THAT. no one can go home with me.
Day three
Well i cant post about it if i didnt go. i went to renew passport. that's all you need to know. and also why i couldnt make it to NUS thing. TO RENEW PASSPORT.
Day four
yes i am so sorry to all those ppl who DID go to NUS. my parents wanted me to go coz we had lunchtime concert and i already didnt go for day three and i didnt have the leave form. i forgot to go get it. i am so dumb. -cries-
ok. day of concert. year one concert.
i still havent practised rockin rondeau. AAAH.
yeah. so we HAD A TEST. that i did NOT know of. so i probably flunked it.
A TEST ON OUR LECTURES.
how sad. again. so i flunked the test and we went to 3J for sectional.
BUT THERE WERE PPL inside. so we went to find ppl to help us.
and then they helped us chase the ppl inside 3J out of their class room.
isaac crapped again: "wei ting can go to the door and say 'hi, i am wei ting, let me in.' get it? it's a pun. know what a pun is? do you? my case is all laura's fault. yes its your fault. blah blah blah"
yep i have just included isaac's crapping. wth. "hi i am wei ting, let me in". JUST in case you dont get it, wen u say that, it sounds a lot like, "hi i am waiting, let me in". So isaac had a real laugh out of it.
so we practised again. and isaac gayed. and seng joe said he was 'maria carey'-ing him. What that means i still dunno. what does mariah carey have to do with gaying? (and no i didnt spell her name wrong just now. he said it like that)
mr tan popped in as usual just at the moment isaac wanted to go slack. in the toilet.
yay, and for some freaky reason, he wanted to use our classroom again for full sec 1 band rehearsal.
and then we rehearsed like crazy. and i got giddy.
and the guys attempted to catch up, due to lack of rehearsal aka slacking.
our trumpet voluntary sounded good! yay!
our rockin rondeau included a duet or something where the trombones and tuba and french horn are the ONLY ones playing. so...yah. that was kinda freaky. i became ALOT more aware of my playing.
then... the seniors came around 12. AND IT TURNED OUT THE CONCERT WAS IN OUR INITIAL SP ROOM.
wow. the trombones are so significant. i feel so proud of myself.
yep. we played. and it was good, i think, since our seniors wanted encore.
so we played lightly row. haha. lightly row.
then we were dismissed.
THANK GOODNESS that day venus, julia, hannah (from 1H, i'm sayin this or the other hannahs i know will... ah nevermind) went home with me. i thought i would be alone again.
so... yeah. that was band camp
YAY. we are now OFFICIALLY on holiday. except for EL camp. which is... when again?
OH CRAP I FORGOT.
chit yee~ wen is it? (this is tao nan's EL camp btw)
i am so lousy.
OK. so.... my template is still sucky as usual. YAY. i still havent solved html prob.
I shall try again now.
